SUMMER HEAT AND BBQ AWARENESS

7/8/2021 (Permalink)

When severe hot weather hits Jackson County, SERVPRO of Medford/ Ashland is ready!

During this summertime heat, people will be spending their time hosting pool parties, family and friend get togethers and BBQ's. Some guests may not be familiar with BBQ etiquette.

•Clean your BBQ regularly.

•Know your grills safety zone, have the BBQ properly placed on a cement fixture away from dead grass, houses and trees.

•Keep fire extinguishers around.

•Avoid flying objects near the BBQ.

•Never leave a lit grill unattended.

•Don’t allow kids or pets to play near the grill.

•Never try to move a lit or hot grill, and remember the grill will stay hot for at least an hour after use.

•Clothing can easily catch fire, so be sure your shirt tails, sleeves and apron strings don't dangle over the grill.

Of course, there are always circumstances that you’re either not prepared for, or not fit to handle on your own. If you do happen to experience an issue in which your home is sustaining fire damage, immediately call your local fire department to have them take control ASAP.

SERVPRO of Medford/Ashland has been helping the community get back on their feet after fire damage for years. When something goes wrong, you’re going to need a company who can make it right. To learn more about how SERVPRO of Medford/Ashland can assist in your time of need, give us a call today! 541-773-3740
